Description
Primula yellow Austin Mini City E.
6000miles from new.
1 previous owner. I've owned now for 10yrs. Only selling to help fund purchase of a van or estate.
Off the road between 1994-2015.
Recommissioned in 2014 with very limited use since.
Recommissioning required the following.
● cylinder head rebuild with hardened seats.
● carb rebuild, new rubber hoses, tank clean.
● all new brake hydraulics, and shoes.
● all new clutch hydraulics.
● new exhaust.
● new radiator.
● new yokohama tyres (original dunlop spare)
Was on display for IMM60 at the MINI plant Oxford.
During lockdown both original subframes were removed and resprayed. The body underside was cleaned of the old flaking underseal and repainted in its original primula yellow.
There is no corrosion anywhere underneath this mini.
Bilt hamber cavity wax injection of sills, cross member, scuttle panel and wheel arch seams.
Subframes then refitted with new bushes/ mounts.
Lovely original car, unmarked interior that still smells new. Drives as a mini should and very economical. Regularly serviced and now tax/ mot free. This mini was owned by an elderly lady from new who barely used it. She gave up driving in the early 90s and it was put away in an Anderson shelter with 4018miles on the clock in 1994.
I heard of it in 2003 and eventually purchased it in 2014.
It's really is a time warp, as it was in 1983 with its original book pack and tool kit.
