Description
1972 Series 2a (with headlights in the wings) Manufactured January 12th 1972 (with proof) - prior to Series III intro later that year. MOT and Road Tax exempt. 200TDi engine and Series 3 gearbox (synchro on all gears). Installed with a Steve Parker 200TDi conversion coupled with a Steve Parker stainless exhaust system. Re-galvanized front/ rear bumpers, and windscreen surround. Heated front windscreens fitted. Dual circuit servo assisted brakes fitted. Electronic radiator fan and oil cooler fitted. Cambelt replaced twice in my ownership. Once in 2014 along with water pump at 68K, and again in 2022 at 71K.
Full front end rewire and headlights now on relays (to save the 6 way switch) which was fitted NOS back in 2019 - so all the positions work.
Custom 200TDi pulley that raises the fan belt run - which is a common problem on Lightweight/ 200TDi conversions where the pulley can hit the front axle under extreme articulation.
Original chassis still with it's original MOD underseal. Well loved Lightweight owned for over 10 years. One of the last Series2a units. History and proof of manufacture plus some details from the previous owner provided. Regularly serviced and used up until 2022, then dry stored. 200TDi conversion done by previous owner to a really high standard, it's the perfect match.
