Description
Saab is in good usable overall condition. Belonged to my friend's father-in-law from new and has had only one other long term owner apart from me. A local car, always been in the Hull area, as seen from the registration. This is the seven seater version and is a very versatile vehicle. The engine is a Ford V4, the German one (Cologne) as fitted to the contemporary Taunus. The gear lever is steering column mounted which is very easy to get used to. The gearbox also has a free-wheel hub which can be locked out - a left over from the early cars which were fitted with Saab's own 2-stroke engine. The car has a recent sports exhaust fitted. A twin-choke Weber and inlet manifold could be included if the selling price is approximately met. A very usable classic Saab. Was stored for many years before I recommissioned it. It previously had a good replacement engine fitted by well-known Saab expert Sean Pepper of Hull. This seems to be the only Saab 95 V4 available in the UK at sensible money. Since I've owned it, it's been repainted. The bodywork and interior are quite presentable but could be improved as a rolling, usable, project.
