Description
1970 Lancia Flavia 2000 Coupe
Imported in to the UK from South Africa in 2017, this car has benefited from the climate in its former home and is rust free. It is fully UK registered as an historic vehicle.
In my ownership, (2018) I have undertaken many improvements including new clutch assembly, brake pads, rear suspension, front top and bottom wishbone ball joints and wheel bearings. I have also fitted a 123 electric ignition and had the carb fully refurbished. It drives and handles really well – in fact I’m often surprised how quick this 50-year-old car is!
The paint work is good with some small age related blemishes, but it is very presentable. The chrome is all there and in good order.
The interior is very good, showing a nice aged patina. The maroon carpets are in good condition and has a the car has working period Alpine radio/ cassette player.
The car drives really well, gearbox is smooth and the engine oil pressure is 50 PSI at 1500 RPM. it comes with a box of receipts and manuals etc.
This is a very presentable and usable example of a rare Lancia Flavia Coupe 2000. I'm seeking offers circa £20k. These cars are rare with only a handful of right hand drive examples in the UK. Designed by Pininfarina, these cars are simply beautiful. The flat four engine strapped to Lancia's renowned chassis and running gear make this car a lovely grand tourer that can, when needed, 'pick up its skirt' and perform very well. this is a very nice example of an appreciating classic, that is slightly different from the mainstream.
