The previous owner had thoroughly restored the car mechanically and it runs beautifully, springing to life on the first turn of the key.
The underside is probably what convinced me to buy it. The chassis is very solid for a car of it's age and I have not found any damage or rust on it.
The mohair hood and it's cover are in very good condition and there is a good tonneau cover.
The car has been re-sprayed but I know not when. Paintwork is not immaculate, probably best to say it has a "patina" but it polishes up nicely.
I've kept it in a dry garage and only take it out on dry days when roads are not salted.

I have the receipts for the above works.
I have:
Had both seats re-foamed.
New radiator header tank.
Replaced the drivers window winder mechanism
Installed a thermostatically controlled radiator fan.
Overhauled the heater system and had the matrix pressure tested.
It had an oil change and filter last year as well as a full grease service
The gearbox oil was changed this year.
Replaced the battery, April 2024
Mileage is showing as 14, 631. I am guessing that it was zeroed when the engine was rebuilt in 1999.
When I bought the car planned to do the usual "upgrades":
Change to rack and pinion steering
Change the dynamo for an alternator.
Add a servo to the brakes.
However when I drove the car I found the steering heavy but fine.
The dynamo works fine.
The four wheel disc brakes are excellent without a servo.
To do the "upgrades" would have lost the character and look of a very original car.
I have discreetly added a 12v supply and twin USB.
The performance is exceptional for a car of it's age and will easily keep up with or ahead of modern cars
The previous owner had died and unfortunately his widow did not supply much history. However, much as I like a car with a full history, I was happy to buy something that looked right.
The car is tax and MOT exempt but is MOT'd from 5th July
Why am I selling ?
In the past two years I have driven less than 400 miles.
Three years ago I bought a motorhome and using this has meant I have less time to drive a classic car so it's mainly been to local cars and coffee shows and I believe a car is for road trips, not just taking to shows.
I have had a few classics but none has gained as much attention and positive comments as this one.
