Description
Triumph 650 desert racer project, consisting of frame, swing arm, engine plates, rear brake lever, footrests, oil tank, battery carrier and desert racer air filter, see pictures for what is there.
I got John Hand of John Hand Racing to carry out some repairs to the frame and add on a couple of extra brackets for the air filter etc. This is all done to a very high standard. Front frame has had fairing mounts removed from headstock and side mounted steering lock hole welded up so looks to be a 1966 frame. There is no frame number at all on the headstock. Rear subframe is also 1966. Rear brake pedal/ DS engine plate are early 1963 type with brake rod outside engine plate which was better of off road / comp use. I was intending to build a cool Steve McQueen style desert racer with this. However I have too many Triumphs / projects and I need the space so this must go.
I do have some other bits I might be willing to sell, to go along with this project such as TR6C/ T120TT front forks, steel bash-plate, 3 gallon fuel tank, big Aluminium race sprockets, hubs, etc, etc. but these would be extra cost and you'd have to persuade me! Cheers Mike
