Description
NEW REDUCED PRICE! Given that it’s a slow market, I’ve knocked a grand off to find her a new home. Now officially a bargain. Go-on, you know you want to!
Mallard Green with tan interior. 125bhp pi (CR) engine. Overdrive 'box.
Reliable and presentable car that drives well and comes with lots of documentary history. Dry stored. Heritage certificate.
Now registered as MOT exempt. Only previous advisories being a light oil leak from the sump/ oil filter and slight play in the bearings & tie rod ends (new replacements for which are included, but haven't had the time to fit them).
Much money spent by previous owners to rebuild the engine/ gearbox, overhaul the chassis, respray and upgrade the car including an Aluminium fuel tank and telescopic shocks. Lots of spares and accessories with the car, too many to mention individually, but include: tonneau cover, soft top cover, stainless steel wheel trims, fiberglass wheel arch inners, numerous engine spares, seals and trim.
The engine is strong and lively once it's warmed up and the gearbox is rifle-bolt precise. The lovely Mallard Green paint (replacing the original Mimosa yellow) is generally in good condition, although showing the usual scattering of small stone chips along the sills, arches and front valance. A few very small bubbles, but no notable rust in the body panels. Chrome is very good, with only some minor pitting and a small bubble on one of the rear bumper sections. Chassis is straight and solid. Hood is in good condition, free of rips and stains and the rear window plastic is clear. Reluctantly selling due to lack of time to enjoy it, and an imminent house move. It might not be a concourse winner, although it could be with a little work. It is a well-loved, well maintained and straight car that will make an excellent daily runner, or weekend tourer that's full of character and always puts a smile on the face.
