Description
Porsche 912 SWB project.
Imported from US in 2005, Vat & Duties fully paid at the time. Previous owner submitted car for a UK MOT and advisories indicated tin rot in the usual places. Instead of patching up, he stripped the car to bare shell. It was shot blasted then primered to prevent further rust, engine was stripped and bottom end was rebuilt with new bearings etc. Car has been stored in a dry barn since 2006, the engine stored in the spare bedroom in the house.
100% complete.
Originally Sand Beige, painted Irish Green in US but deserves to return to Beige.
Pretty much all the panels required, many genuine Porsche were purchased in the US and imported over the years in anticipation of restoration.
Also, many new components purchased, brake lines, gaskets etc.
Too many projects mean this beauty, sadly, keeps being pushed to the back of the queue.
Plenty more photos available on request, and can do a facetime walk around of the shelves of components prior to site visit if you wish. Located central UK near Banbury. Loads of paperwork including original owners book and service history book, Porsche paint swatch card, original key.
