Description
1928 Ford Model AA Truck project for sale!
Believed to be one of, if not the oldest, surviving Model AA in Britain, according to people in the Model A circle.
We have decided to sell our Model A project, unfortunately we haven’t had time for it, with three other personal projects taking up our time we have made the decision to pass it on.
As you can see it has been partly restored, we have owned it since 2014 and since then we have completed the following…
- Cleaned off the chassis and re-painted it (the chassis is in very good condition and needed no repairs).
- Stripped and rebuilt the engine, internals were found to be in very good condition, we bench ran the engine before putting it back into the chassis.
- Stripped and rebuilt the gearbox & rear axle, both of which were found to be in very good condition internally.
- Re-painted the radiator cowl.
A lot of the original wooden cab has survived but some is rotten, it will make for a good pattern for a new cab. The same goes for the bulkhead, floorboards, door pillars etc. As far as we can see most of the parts are present to finish the restoration minus the rear body.
Parts that we have and are included in the sale are…
- Both front wings
- Brass windscreen frame
- Headlight bar & headlights
- Both cab doors
- Both side sill/ chassis covers
- Front bumper
- Fuel tank
- Bulkhead
- General brackets for things like the running boards etc
- 1 x running board, but we have the brackets for both sides.
This is a great project and is sure to be worth restoring given its age, unfortunately we do not have a huge amount of history for it however, I do have the V5C with the registration number etc.
Based near Aberchirder, Aberdeenshire. Viewing is highly recommended to appreciate it in full, collection is preferred but delivery can be arranged at the buyer’s cost. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions and thanks for reading.
The asking price is £7, 000. 00, we may consider a swap for a good condition classic truck or car.
