This SL500 is a late model UK RHD R129 finished in the rare Blue Quartz Metallic (347U) with a panoramic glass hard top.
It has been owned for much of its life by collectors and looked after with care and has had parts fitted and work done as necessary to keep it in excellent condition and with a full service history from new.
There is a comprehensive history file of the car filled with MOTs, services and other invoicing for work carried out to fully maintain the car including a full respray in 2015 so the paintwork is very very good. The previous owner, a Mercedes collector fitted a Brembo brake upgrade and exhaust upgrade, and it comes with Mercedes issue split rim BBS AMG wheels, as well as a high spec Becker audio system fitted in 2016 with power amp and rear speaker. The rear seats were removed to accommodate the sound system upgrade but the original seats come with the car to enable restoration to original the original spec. The car also comes with the original Mercedes audio system comprising the original dash mounted head unit and boot changer with mount.
It has brand new front discs and callipers fully refurbished by Brembo in Sep 2023. The car was bought by the present owner from Hairpin Car Company, a well known classic car dealer in Dec 2019 at 82, 100 milesI bought the car as a grand tourer for long trips as I knew it had a great history and was in great shape, but have just not been able to use it as I would have liked.
