Description
My Alfa journey may well be coming to and end. Replacement car means my 2009 159 Tbi will be going into semi retirement, I would consider selling to a fellow enthusiast but happy to keep her in the garage only to come out once or twice a month. This is a good opportunity to own an increasingly rare 159 with the desirable 200 BHP 1750 engine.
150500 miles currently, starts first time every time, it's never let me down, It's been well looked after, oil and filter changes every 5 to 6k miles with the right oil, turbo still pulls hard, last timing belt done Feb 2022 on about 120k, No knocks, bangs or creaks, lots of suspension replaced in the last 2 years, drop links, shock absorbers etc... usual maintenance stuff, front wheel bearings done last year, lots of work has been done. All in all the car still feels good considering it's 15 years old now, she's a heavy lump but still quick, goes and stops in a straight line.
No sign of any rust I can see, front subframe is in pretty good condition, Doesn't look like the undertrays were left on.
Paint is in pretty good condition, usual stone chips on the front, a couple elsewhere, one or two small shopping trolly dents, Some small areas of lacquer peel, very common with this colour but I think easily salvageable.
Interior is pretty good, usual cracks on the drivers seat cushion edge, no rips or tears anywhere else, the usual wear and tear marks on the metal interior panels, marks from keys etc, nothing out of the ordinary, it's still a nice place to be, again, no creaks or moans form the interior. Tri zone climate control installed. Folding mirrors, auto tinting rear view mirror, blue and me, there is a Grom bluetooth interface which works very well, I'll leave that in the car.
Wheels in reasonable condition, 4 good tyres, Bridgestone Turanza 6 all round. MOT until November.
Open to reasonable offers.
