Triumph TR6 2, 498cc straight-six, CP 150bhp injection, with overdrive, original UK May 1970. Mileage 7956. Induction: Lucas mechanical petrol injections. Transmission: ‘A’ type four-speed manual with overdrive on top three gears. Finished in Signal Red with black interior. Being sold, very sadly, due to lack of space.

Full body off restoration in mid-1980’s. Body and paint work in excellent condition throughout with good door gaps and panel alignment. The dash is the traditional walnut veneer, with classic chrome-ringed dials all in remarkable and pristine condition. The CP model has the ignition key conveniently positioned in the centre consul. As a ‘historic’ car, no tax or MOT obligations.

Full engine rebuild in Mar 21 by Blackline Classic Cars (blacklineclassiccars. co. uk). Engine runs perfectly with manufacturers oil pressure and excellent cooling. Gearbox works seamlessly, with the overdrive providing that much needed 5th gear for the 150bhp model.

The wheels are in near immaculate condition, the deep-dish steels with polished rims suiting the car perfectly and are complemented with the Yokohama tyres which provide a perfect balance of sport and comfort.

As with all TR6s, the roof is a manual, black fabric convertible and is in very good condition inside and out, raising and lowering smoothly and correctly. As recommended by the TR Register, emergency bonnet release fitted. Total 9 former keepers. Twenty years of documentation to show vehicle provenance.

Over £12, 500 spent, by current owner, on engine rebuild and maintenance. The car has only been used in dry summer weather and dry stored when not in use. KEF808H is a remarkable TR6 that epitomises the essence of a British two-seater sport car; well maintained, you can enjoy some of the finest open topped motoring that reasonable money can buy. The purchase of another classic car means that 'Poppy' needs to move on to its next cherished owner. I've loved the car and her six appeal.

Judging by the public’s reaction to her (looks and the engine roar), she's as popular now as she was in the mid-1970's. The interior and exterior is a testament to the care and expertise applied in the restoration and will not disappoint,
