Description
Hello,
Here is my 850 Reliant Robin MK2 running project car. Used to use it for as my commuter to work on my motorcycle licence. However have got a car licence now.
I Intended to MOT it, and then sell it on. However the leaf spring snapped (Drivers side), after a temp repair, drove it to the location where it is now. To be honest never decided to sort it, as don't have the time. However, I do pretty much have everything needed for its next MOT, including two leaf springs for it (Even though one is fine). 1 to 2 days work, I reckon you could Re MOT this if you are handy.
The paint could do with a bit of work. It being fibreglass, these do have a tendancy to flake. The few I looked at before this one all did :). Chassis wise however, no threating rust. Which is to be expected for this as it is a galvanised chassis and is solid.
The car is the 10inch wheel version. Not 12inch, which isn't all to common for this year of Robin. I find that the 10inch ride better, and you can get hub parts if needed. It has had a new track rod fitted since I owned it. It has a front Gaz adjustable shock, which is really useful for these and the pod airfilter (From Reliant Spares) on the carb. Got the original airbox though which is included. It has also had a geniune replacement water pump fited also.
Has a four branch 850 exhaust from Reliant Spares, actually sounds good and has given it a couple more ponies. I do have the original exhaust and everything else I have for it will be including in sale of the car. These are cars (If the right term) are a right laugh.
And the engine and gearbox is sweat on this one. I do have a video, both cold start and once warm. But it didn't allow me to upload. I can provide the video on request.
Any questions, do feel free to pop me a message. First time posting on here, so I can't remember if it gives out phone numbers. If it does, you call and I don't answer, leave me a text and I will get back to you.
