Description
Triumph Spitfire MkII 1967. Imported from Arizona in 2017, UK registered and all taxes paid. Bodywork and chassis all original and in remarkably good condition, with no evidence of damage, except for a few very small dents on bodywork. Front foot-wells have a few very small rust spots but are still strong and only require treatment (inside car) with epoxy paint or similar to seal them. There really would be no justification to weld or replace any part of the floors.
The vehicle has been resprayed once, the original colour is Royal blue, some of the original paint has been revealed and I believe a significant amount of the original paint could be saved because the resprayed paint is very thin and it doesn’t appear to have been sanded prior to being resprayed (the resprayed paint is relatively easily removed where I have tried)
The former owner told me the engine has been reconditioned, although I have no documentation to verify this, I have inspected the cylinder bores and they display recent honing marks. I have overhauled front suspension with new bushes, bearings etc. I have also overhauled the brakes with new flexible hose discs pads and rear shoes etc. Some work to the interior etc. is required.
