Description
Original TA, number 1034 and imported from California in 1995. The car is in excellent condition and is restored during its stay in Holland by the three owners since and is in my possession for 7 years. The engine was replaced by the more reliable XPAG, that was used by all further MG's . Engine nr 24451 TD2. Restoration included rear axle, wheel bearings , gaskets and seals, suspension, suspension bearings and shocks, brake system : cylinder and hoses(now DOT5) , radiator, cylinderhead was rebuilt for leadfree petrol. In order to insure reliability the car is equipped with electronic cvc, electronic version of SU fuelpump and electronic ingnition. To improve steering a Tompkinconversion was mounted. Motometer on radiatorcap, polished aluminium valvecover and side cover on engine to prevent oilleakage. Paint and chrome are immaculate, no rust on chassis and windows and convertible top excellent condition. Instruments and lighting working fine. I used the car for oldtimertrips and travelled around 2000 Mls in 7 years and it never let me down. Due to advancing age I rather hand it over to the next loving owner and trust he or she might love the driving experience and reliability as much as I did. The car attracts a lot of attention by the special colour blue and the shining chrome. A luggage rack over the spare wheel is present in order to make longer trips possible.
