Description
Toyota hilux mk3 2. 8 Australian import. Getting very rare now being a 2. 8, bit more oomph than the 2. 4 and arguably more reliable. I've had this truck for a number of years and have been slowly going through it, prior to me it was owned by a local garage that had it since it was imported and they done a full body of restoration, took the body of and done everything and anything that needed doing. It's in great condition, underneath is clean, no scary rust, been kept well maintained, had the gearbox reconditioned not that long ago at a cost of over 2k, new clutch etc at the same time, all the 4 wheel drive works well, replaced the sills couple of weeks back, was only a little bit of rust but cut them all off and replaced for peace of mind, little bit of bubbling on one of the wings, was going to replace the wing with new but never got round to it, same with bottom of the doors, a good welder will just replace the bottom of the doors to sort it so not an expensive job, could be repaired but I like to remove the rust completely if i was to do it. she's an old girl now so there will always be the odd thing that needs doing but as we all know these trucks will just keep going until you get around to sorting it!!! Shame to sell her but I have a celica gt4 I want to do work on now. She starts first time everytime, the bed is in great condition, as is the cover. Got the best kind of seat in my opinion, a bench seat, super comfy and great condition, no tears. Red gloss paint so buffs up very well and easy to spray, i have the paint name/ code. I was planning to do everything along with respraying but as I said my interests now lay with the gt4 so it's time for her to go and be looked after by someone else. If I write here why I bought it and how much I love it I'm not going to end up selling it, just be quick before I change my mind
