Description
This Aston Martin Vantage is 1 of 72 examples of this type built and, according to AML records, was the display car at the 1972 Earls Court Motor Show.
After David Brown had to sell the company, the new owners wanted to do away with the abbreviation ‘DB’ and instead used the designation ‘Vantage’ for the last vehicles equipped with the 6 cylinder, as the new 8 cylinder was not yet ready. As a result, this original gap-filler is now a rare collector's item.
This Vantage has always been treated properly, as evidenced by two folders full of invoices, a complete list of all service work carried out and photos of a major restoration in 2009.
The car was in England until 2009 and was then imported to Austria by the current owner, where it became part of his collection. Regular maintenance and TÜV/§57a can also be documented here. Original instruction book available.
Engine and gearbox run and shift perfectly. The other technology and electrics are also in order. The paintwork and interior are in good condition and benefit from professional refurbishment. Some paint defects are documented by photos. On the bottom of the doors and on the right mudguard, the paint knife shows evidence of filler.
The Vantage has Austrian papers and is looking forward to an enthusiast and connoisseur who appreciates the pithy sound and exclusivity of this car. Speedometer figures in miles.
