Description
I have owned my Porsche since 2017 having bought it from a friend in the Hampshire VW Owners Club, he owned it since 2005 when it first came in from California. It is a really good unrestored car, original floors etc and as far as I can tell numbers matching but I don't have a Porsche COA so can't be sure. Since it has been in the Uk both I and the previous owner have written down all service history and any parts needed over the years, so it has a good uk history file.
In 2021 the paint was looking tired so I had it repainted (all glass out) by Ross Packard in New Milton, expensive but really good result.
It has made trips to VW shows in Europe and to Gmund with no problems.
The engine has a matching number case and is fitted with a 123 Distributor. It is fitted with a Blaupunkt radio which can link into a mobile phone. Everything works including the clock which keeps quite good time. The car was exported to California in 1963 and because of the climate appears rust free. Since it came to the uk it has been kept in a dry garage.
It is really excellent to drive, has been absolutely reliable, since I bought it it has done around 8000 trouble free miles.
It won its class this year in the Stanford Hall concours which means it is automatically entered into the master class in 2025.
I am selling because I would like to own other types of classic cars before I am too old to enjoy them. May P/ Ex for something interesting eg convertible XK particularly 120, let me know what you have. Please feel free to call for a chat, happy to discuss.
