Description
This is my 1978 Kawasaki KZ650.
It is a four cylinder into 1 Exhaust pipe which has covered only 13500 miles.
It has 4 previous owners.
I am a tall guy and found that I was 'overwhelming' the bike when riding it because it felt too low and small.
I know you purists will object but I have changed the rear shock to provide an extra 50mm height and installed 30mm bar risers to compensate on the front end. now this works a treat for me but I still have the original shocks if you want to lower it again.
You might have also noticed the cut back mud guards, K&N air filters, recovered seat, Porsche Grey paintwork, Retro grips, Extra grip foot rests both front and rear, and a 1979 tax disk and holder.
This bike drives like a dream, starts either on the button or easy kick start.
No service history but I have changed everything, oil, filters, plugs, plug caps.
Brakes are sharp and responsive.
Gearbox and clutch are spot on. 13K, they are likely to be.
You would not believe the amount of admiration this bike attracts throughout a busy stop start city centre. Especially builders vans pulling up at lights wanting to chat about the bike. A bit tricky with a balaclava and full face helmet!!!
I don't know what else to say really, this is an appreciating classic that I will probably regret selling next year but ???
