Description
Mini Cooper S MK3 - Swiftune 1380cc.
This beautiful example of the rarest of the Cooper S' (only 792 made for UK market) comes in its original colour of Bronze Yellow with a large amount of original paint and lovely interior.
Only 3 previous owners and the first owner had the car for 32 years.
Impressive history file including letter from Nick Swift detailing the engine build with invoices. (worth £8938). It also comes with the original bill of sale from Wheatsheaf Garage, Chester and a letter from the Longbridge factory. The car is known to the Mini Cooper Register and the history file includes an article on the car that featured in the Cooper World magazine.
The Swiftune re-build of it's original engine makes the car a true pleasure and great fun to drive with nearly 100BHP produced on the dyno (graphs in history file) and it sounds amazing with the twin H4 carbs right behind the bulkhead.
It is currently on rose petals, but I have the original Cooper S wheels which can be included with the sale. The car is still on its hydrolastic suspension which is nice to see and really does make it ride beautifully. The original sunroof is also a nice touch in the summer months and allows more of that glorious engine sound in.
This is an opportunity to own a very rare and prestigious car with a lot of history, but is still very useable and can be enjoyed. Sadly I must move the car on due to lack of storage space. This car has had quite a following in the YouTube community and many videos can be found easily by searching.
The engine makes the car fantastic fun to drive and it's very quick! Puts a smile on your face every time you drive it.
