Description
The C36 was the very first AMG model to be sold in collaboration with Mercedes. Produced from 1994-1997 in limited numbers, to compete with the BMW M3 of that period, the C280 Sport was taken to AMG to be breathed on. The result was a 280 BHP performance car with handling and brakes to match, only supplied with an automatic gearbox. Fitted with subtle but effective AMG bodystyling, wide 17" AMG Alloys and AMG exhaust.
All the exterior, interior and wheels are in immaculate unmarked condition. Finished in Touramaline Green metallic with completely unmarked black nappa leather interior the car has virtually all the options that were available at the time including
Electric Glass Sunroof, Ice cold Climate Control, E/ Heated Sports Seats,
Birds Eye Maple Wood Trim, BOSE Hi-Fi,
Cruise Control, E/ Folding Mirrors, Electric Windows, ESP Traction, Wood/ Leather Sports S/ Wheel. The car has been thoroughly checked over mechanically and will receive a new MOT prior to sale.
Everything works and the car drives superbly. Complete with all original handbooks, service documents, keys, toolkit and first aid kit. A great opportunity to purchase a very useable modern classic. Any inspection welcomeThis particular car was supplied by Mercedes to Japan and was imported into the UK in 2017 since which point it has been part of a private car collection.
The car has only covered 64, 000 miles and obviously has been cherished as are most cars in Japan. Practically all UK supplied C class Mercedes from 1994-2004 suffered quite badly with
rust, and unless each owner kept on top of the problem they ended up requiring paintwork and even welding. Sometimes this is not that obvious when buying a used model.
Due both to the dry climate and the absence of salt in Japan there is absolutely no sign on this car of the corrosion normally found on UK supplied Mercedes of this era.
In fact the car is totally immaculate and actually presents like a one year old car. The underneath is in a similar condition.
