Offered for sale I my rare 77 Carrera Turbo.
This car has just finished a lengthy restoration . I first started buying this car in 2019 . It was a part of an unfinished project that belong to the racing driver and famous race team owner Dick Barbour. Those in the know will know this name and remember his famous 935 Hawaiian Tropic liveried car that he raced in Le Mans will Paul Newman. He is a true gent and a lovely man.
So being a stalled resto due to covid this is when I started talking to Dick and agreed to buy his car and import to the Uk.
It wasn't until 2021 that it arrived in the Uk due to restrictions.
The car was manufactured in may 77. Its an early 3. 0 turbo , pre intercooler. it was 78 when the engine size was increased to 3. 3.
So the car has been totally rebuilt with everything being either re-built or replace. The interior has been fully re-trimmed to an incredible standard . Thousands of pounds have been spent on this car. It drives fantastically . It has the correct Pirelli tyres and the correct period radio with handset.
This is a true piece of motoring history that is in incredible condition .
