Description
1993 Vauxhall Cavalier mk3 Diplomat
Very low mileage of 54, 240
I’ve owned this car for two years now but it’s sadly got to go as a house purchase looms…
The car got offered to me by the original owner (with the original bill of sale) who was becoming less able to drive and I just had to have it as we had one as family car when I was growing up,
Since being in my ownership I have only used it a handful of times to attend car meets whilst my other classic is off the road and it really did surprise me how well these cavaliers are loved by enthusiasts and the rarity of them nowadays.
I’ve serviced it, fitted new HT leads, had the alloys refurbed with new tyres all round, given it a machine polish to revive the very rare metallic purple paint and managed to snap up a stupidly scarce rear number plate panel with uncracked reflectors which these cars suffer from badly.
They’re are a few previous scuffs that is to be expected from a 31 year old car but the overall condition of the outside is brilliant compared to other cavaliers with peeling/ faded paint.
The inside of the car is in fantastic condition with very little wear on the leather seats, the front two of which are heated and is indeed still working, the dashboard isn’t cracked and is all intact other than at some point in its life has had a uprated head unit fitted.
The air con doesn’t work but I haven’t even tried gassing it as it wasn’t warm when I was using it so that’ll need looking at, slightly sticky throttle pedal every once in a while, probably just needs greasing from lack of use and it would probably benefit from new discs and pads all round being fitted.
Other than those points I’ve absolutely loved owning the cavalier with it being quite a rare one at that.
Why not be the envy of all your neighbours and show them that you’ve received a promotion to manager and now have a top of the range company car!!
