Description
Here is my 1984 Porsche 944 S1, presented in the lovely Alpine white finish with the sought after Rear valence bumper and Fuchs Alloys.
The mileage is showing 67k, The GOV MOT site does back this up however, I don't really want to guarantee this as it is 40 years old, so it will not be reflected in the price. However everything else about the car points to her being this really low mileage example.
The bodywork of the Car is fantastic for its age with next to zero marks and very few paint chips. The only body defect worth pointing out in my opinion is the Passenger side cill has a bit of corrosion showing. This is located at the front of the cill and measures 5" x 3". This can be seen on pictures.
Currently the car is out of MOT and needs a new fuel pump to tank pipe (around 250mm in length) I've just not got round to sorting one out yet and as our unit has now sold, I'm sadly not going to have a place to store her. Other than this, the car starts perfectly each and every time, No knocks, bangs, squeaks or smoke. I had it fully serviced and checked over by Porsche specialist, David at White bear garage when I First purchased it, just to make sure it was reliable and there were no underlying or inevitable issues. Unfortunately It just can't be driven away due to the fuel pipe and will need recovery, this is reflected in the price.
The interior is in good condition, the Porsche fabric seats are near new condition and everything works, albeit probably a little slower than when it was new! Sunroof, pop up lights, speedo temperature, electric mirrors and wipers all work great, the washer jet is a little slow so possibly could do with a new pump eventually. As most of the 944's this does have a few cracks located at the top part of the dash.
With a minuscule amount of TLC (Fuel hose, Washer pump and 1/ 4 Sill repair) this would be one of the greatest 944's out there. It really has to be seen to be appreciated. There is a box (pictured) brimming with history from services to parts and rosettes inbetween. There's loads to go through! It's been to many classic car shows and has won first place at a few. Including the cars against cancer event. It is also part of three Porsche owners clubs and comes with the badges.
I bought this from an Enthusiast up in Scotland who made sure the car wanted for nothing.
