Description
This is without question, likely to be the best example of a MK1 Cowley Built Rover 75 2. 5 V6 Connoisseur available. Originally owned by Rover Cars as a demonstration vehicle, and then purchased by its one and only long-term keeper as a retirement present for himself in 2000. I purchased the car in 2023, but due to the imminent end of my garage lease, I will soon no longer have indoor storage and am therefore reluctantly exploring options for a sale.
The car could not have wished for a better custodian, kept in a heated garage for 23 years + and to say it has been cherished would quite frankly be an understatement. The vehicle has only covered just shy of 19, 950 miles.
For the best part of 20 years, it has been tucked away in the garage, but of course the engine has been started, the car has been moved and it has been polished on a regular basis. The bodywork is exceptional, the car has never had a smart repair, has no rust to the sills, arches or indeed anywhere. The paint is all original and looks like it did in 1999, when it rolled off the production line. It really is that good. The Alloy Wheels are immaculate, the Chrome Work is immaculate, I need not go on. The Interior is just as good, the car still smells like a brand new vehicle. The leather has its lovely new creases still in tact and is unmarked. The Carpet and Dealer Supplied Overmats are in beautiful order, as is all the fixtures and fittings. The Roof Lining and A Pillar Trims are perfect, as are the Door Cards. The original Rover Cassette, Radio & CD Autochanger are supplied with the vehicle, however the period Kenwood system fitted, is outstanding and clearly a very professional installation at the time. The vehicle also comes with a new genuine OEM Rover Rear Parcel Shelf, Blind and Control Unit, if you fancied upgrading the standard Parcel Shelf currently fitted. Also supplied with the vehicle, original Dealer Walnut Effect Gift Pen & Rover Stamped Box, Rover 75 Brochures, Rover Keyrings, 2 Remote Keys and the Valet Key, Book Pack with Operating Manuals and Service Book, Rover Seatbelt Protecters, Rover Workshop CDs and more! When behind the wheel, it's like driving a new Rover 75. Everything is as it should be with no issues or annoyances whatsoever. It's as good as it gets! Supplied with a fresh 12 months MOT, having been serviced a few hundred miles ago with the all-important cam-belt change and 4 new tyres! HPI Clear. Service History
