Description
One of the first 500 Mike Hailwood Replicas built following Mike Hailwood’s famous TT victory – without side panels, with one piece fairing, steel tank, Conti silencers, 40mm carbs, Brembo Goldline calipers, Km Speedo and the desirable FPS alloy wheels with polished rims (avoid bikes with the Speedline magnesium wheels, these have serious issues and alternatives are hard to find).
It is a show winning bike in excellent overall condition – it has featured twice on Henry Cole’s Motorbike Show TV series, and has graced the front cover of Desmo Magazine.
It has covered 11, 172 miles (17980km) and has 3 previous keepers from new with good MoT history. The Factory crankcase lead seal is intact, ensuring that the engine remains unmolested. The oil has been changed every year and the motorcycle has been maintained by Paul Klatkiewicz of Ducati Technical Services, acknowledged Bevel expert. Work includes most recent service at 11, 172 miles in June 2023 and a Desmo service at 8. 846 miles. Previously maintained by Luigi Moto, the well respected Ducati expert.
First registered in the UK, retains the original frame paint, bodywork has been refreshed to a high standard. Some sensible mods have been made eg stainless fasteners & brake pins, brake hoses, bevel cover (replaced by gear gazer), alloy bellmouths etc. However all original parts have been retained (inc rare plastic belmouths) to allow them to be refitted if required,
This is a beautiful, reliable, usable motorcycle which has taken me throughout Britain during the past 8 years - to Scotland, Castle Combe, the Isle of Man and many other locations.
Registered as Historic Vehicle, so Tax & MoT exempt.
Can be delivered anywhere in the mainland UK.
