Description
1954 Ford LaDawri special roadster project. extremely rare and unusual. LaDawri was a fibreglass and plastic automotive body builder based out of Long Beach, California in the late 50's thru the 60's. they specialized in producing automotive bodies to replace those of standard production cars, turning them into something very exotic in appearance, yet maintain standard production running gear and chassis. this LaDawri Conquest fiberglass body was placed on the chassis and drivetrain of a 1954 Ford sedan. the engine does run, and it appears that the car was roadworthy at one time, but after sitting for a number of years will need sorting, maintenance, finishing and some assembly. the dash is also 1954 Ford. the vehicle will come with roller wheels, and some items can be removed so that shipping as parts can be facilitated. the windshield is said to be 1957 chevy pickup windscreen upside down, and the tailights from a 1954 oldsmobile. Styling on this LaDawri was penned at the famous Art Center College of Design. few of these cars survive, and their styling similar to some 50's corvettes is apparent. sold with bill of sale. can assist with worldwide shipping.
