SUBARU IMPREZA P1
LTD EDITION
VERY RARE
A well-maintained example of a rare WRC-inspired performance icon, presented in eye-catching Sonic Blue, and in excellent condition throughout.
Under the bonnet is a turbocharged boxer engine, stroked to 2. 1 litres, sending power to the road via an all-wheel drive system and five-speed manual transmission.
This example benefits from a recent documented engine rebuild.
Please note: this car is UK-registered
Commissioned by Subaru and built by Prodrive, the P1 was a limited run of around 1, 000 high-power European-market Imprezas; all finished in stunning Sonic Blue paintwork. This car is recorded as number 1, 016.
Each car featured uprated coil springs, shock absorbers and anti-roll bars, alongside ABS, a set of bespoke OZ Racing wheels and a large rear wing.
This example features a slightly larger engine capacity, up from 2. 0 to 2. 1 litres. It also features an uprated intercooler and exhaust system.
Inside, the car is equipped with optional Prodrive Recaro seats with blue accents.
The car comes with receipts for the recent engine rebuild and some cosmetic refurbishment, along with a partial service history.
The cherished registration ‘P16 BHP’ is included in the sale.
CONDITION
There is no known bodywork damage. The vendor reports a small dent in the bonnet and a minor blemish on the nearside wing.
The Sonic Blue paintwork has been partly resprayed around the rear quarters following rust removal, and presents with minor cosmetic blemishes on the bumpers, bonnet scoop, and the door mirrors. There is evidence of some bubbling under the paintwork and small areas of visible rust on the nearside front wheel arch, as well as some very minor bubbling on the front offside wheel arch where the bodywork meets the front bumper.
The 17-inch OZ-racing wheels are all in great shape and wearing matching Nankang Ultra Sport NS-2 tyres, which all appear to have a good amount of remaining tread.
Inside, there is some wear on the driver’s seat bolster, and what is reported by the vendor to be a small cigarette burn in the centre of the passenger seat.
There is some scuffing present on the steering wheel, the hand brake lever and the centre console; however all of the controls are in good working order.
The most recent MOT test was on 31 July 2024 which resulted in a pass with no advisories.
