Description
Hello up for sale is my stunning 1972 Ford Mustang Fastback.
Matching numbers.
It’s in lovely all round condition.
It's one of the nicest driving old American cars i've driven.
Imported from Tennessee in 2018 and was in Ohio before that where it was painted Raven Black by a restoration company, paint still looks great.
The engine is a 5 litre(302) V8, it’s the original engine, numbers on the block match vin(I have photos if needed), excellent strong running engine with no issues and is a lot of fun to drive with plenty of power.
I drive my cars most weekends when the weather is nice so it’s not a car that just sits around.
Exhaust has a nice rumble, sounds like a V8 should, definitely can hear it coming but not overly loud, still has the factory style single exhaust system.
C4 Automatic 3 speed transmission, shifts perfect with no issues.
Power steering.
Power brakes.
15” American Racing Torq Thrust D wheels in good condition.
15 x 8 rear
15 x 6 front
Tyres all have excellent tread, new rears were recently put on.
295/ 50/ 15 rear
215/ 65/ 15 front
Black interior in excellent condition, headlining all good, interior looks all factory original apart from the steering wheel.
Glass all good.
The bodywork is in very good condition with no rot anywhere, same goes for the underneath, all very solid, obviously welcome to check for yourself if you were to come to view.
Raven black paint is in good condition with just some minor blemishes here and there, definitely not concourse perfect but polishes up really nice.
MOT exempt due to being a historic vehicle.
Road Tax exempt.
London ULEZ exempt.
HPI clear.
V5 present and in my name.
Vin number all correct on dash and matching…
Paperwork
Numbers on the block
Vin tag in the engine bay
Driver’s side door sticker.
I also have a copy of the US title from Ohio where it spent most of it’s life.
Bad points worth mentioning…
Slight power steering leak when parked up.
Front passenger side suspension has a slight creak/ squeak but only when there’s a passenger in the car, doesn’t squeak when driving solo.
So to conclude it’s a 52 year old car so it’s not concourse perfect but it is a lovely car and nice condition, a good investment too as these cars are only going up in value.
With the earlier 60’s Fastbacks now fetching £50k+ these 71-73 Fastbacks really are good value for money, this one arguably being in the most desirable colour too.
Viewings welcome near Twickenham, Middlesex, it’s stored a few miles from where I live so please only come to view if you’re serious about actually buying so we don’t waste each other’s time, many thanks.
Open to close sensible offers.
Not looking for swaps or px’s as there’s something else I want to buy although I am on the lookout for a new daily driver so may be open to something around or under £4k but must be Ulez compliant and petrol.
If interested please call or message for a video of the car or more pictures.
