This car was the subject of an older restoration to its original specification by the previous owner who also owned the car in 1962. It shows an acceptable patina whilst being a stunning show car which drives superbly. This iconic car is superb piece of racing history and innovative design from Lotus with its fibreglass monocoque and simple mechanicals. It is a pleasure to drive and draws attention wherever you go. It has featured in Historic Lotus Club magazines, and been displayed at annual dinners and quite rightly wins the car most people want to take home at shows. And it could be yours.
It has not been raced but has taken part in a near 60 strong cavalcade of Elites at its 60th anniversary at Castle Combe, as pictured.
Spares are readily available from a large number of specialists and strong owners clubs.
