As the first production Porsche to bear the family name, it is particularly fitting that the traditions of the 356 continue in the hands of experienced restorers and enthusiasts. According to the owner. This 356C was completed and delivered to its first owner in Germany via the Hahn dealership in Stuttgart. Not much is known about the car's previous history, but a complete restoration was carried out and it was subsequently modified and customised to suit the previous owner's tastes. A complete rebuild on the Outlaw theme was commissioned. The 5-speed manual gearbox was also completely rebuilt. The exterior was based on the Porsche colour scheme called Stone Gray. grey-green for the interior. In keeping with the performance theme, a Nardi steering wheel, stopwatch and clock completed the interior. The door panels and seats are correctly shaped and upholstered, contrasting with the carpet. The rear has been upholstered with a magnificent bench seat and the headliner also matches the colour of the car. Other aesthetic details were added during construction, including high beam headlights and fog lights neatly recessed into the front bumper, without bumpers or trim. A set of 15" x 5, 5" steel wheels were fitted with Classic tyres. A four-disc brake system was also fitted, with upgrades to the master cylinder and brake lines. Today, this Porsche 356 is in splendid condition, with an excellent paint job and cosmetic appeal in every respect. Although it was restored a few years ago, the finish has been carefully maintained to a very high standard. The car is an absolute delight, from the enchanting colour palette to the lowered trim, performance look and highly desirable additional features. The chrome and polished metals are excellent, as are the lights, teardrop tail lights and windows, all of which contribute to the distinctive look of this Porsche. The interior is beautifully finished, with high-quality materials and excellent trim. The instruments, dashboard and other lighting elements are excellent. The dashboard is of exceptional quality with correct instruments, accurate nomenclature on all dials, excellent chrome trim, a Nardi steering wheel and a rally stopwatch mounted on the glovebox door. The engine compartment and boot are exceptionally well detailed and reflect the quality of the restoration and the care of the overall presentation. The engine is perfectly matched to the 356 and offers increased power with modifications that are not obvious to the untrained eye. Period finishes and parts have been used to give an authentic period feel while offering enhanced performance in the Outlaw tradition. The chassis is clean, solid and reflects the high-quality restoration work carried out when the car was completed. The car is impressively designed and very well developed, inside, out and underneath. This so-called Outlaw is a wonderful car on the road. The engine pulls hard in all gears and offers a vintage feel with a modern feel. The engine starts easily, sells revs freely and is well tuned. The gearbox is well matched to the engine and the rev range is very satisfying, especially for those familiar with the original 356 package. Disc brakes add safety to high-speed driving, making driving less of a concern in contemporary traffic.
