The car was chosen in the rare - and magnificent! - Venetian Blue metallic over an Imperial Black/ Grey leather interior. As well as the standard equipment including headlamp washers, rear windscreen wiper, tinted windows, automatic climate control and electric seats, the car was fitted with some interesting extras. These include a limited slip differential, a luxury velour boot mat and a sunroof! The paintwork has been redone in the past and still has an even, deep shine. In our opinion, all the panels are original and there are no traces of body repairs or replacement parts. Of course, the gloss and depth of the paintwork are now perfect and even. The paintwork and seams in the wheel arches, boot and engine compartment are still entirely original and perfect - including the texture of the paintwork. The car still has its original spare wheel and original tool kit. The wheels are original Fuchs turbo wheels. The service book contains a number of stamps. The engine is completely dry, starts at the turn of a key and runs beautifully with perfect oil pressure. Gear changes are quick and very smooth! The paintwork is of an even, deep gloss and overall this turbo is largely original and drives superbly well! The interior is well preserved and shows normal signs of use. The original radio is also present. In its day, the 930 Turbo was one of the rawest and purest cars on the market and has now earned its legendary name. Today, it is registered in Belgium and has recently been inspected. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a well-maintained and pristine iconic Turbo in a beautiful and rare livery. The car is currently registered in Belgium and is being sold on behalf of a client. Produced from April 1975, the Turbo combined a KKK turbocharger with the Carrera RSR's 3. 0-litre engine. In road version, this combination produced 260 bhp and a top speed of 155 mph. But the Turbo wasn't just about top speed, it was also the best-equipped and smoothest 911 - hence the four-speed gearbox - capable of going from standstill to 161 km/ h in 14 seconds. What set the 911 Turbo apart from its rivals was the relaxed way in which this performance was achieved. Comparing the Turbo to such fast 'men's' cars as Holman & Moody's 427 Cobra and the Ford GT40, Motor's Roger Bell believes that what makes the Porsche so different is that it "throws you forward with the same velocity, but in a strangely quiet and effortless way". To be pushed so hard at the back that you need high-backed seats to keep your head up, without feeling or hearing anything other than a muffled hum, is a very strange sensation in a car. The Turbo's distinctive flared wheel arches and 'tea-tray' rear spoiler had already been seen on the Carrera model, while the interior was the most luxurious ever seen in a 911, with leather upholstery, air conditioning and electric windows. In 1978, the Turbo's engine was increased to 3. 3 litres and fitted with an intercooler. Power was increased to 300 bhp and the top speed of what was then the fastest road car increased to 257 km/ h. The Porsche 911 Turbo sold by the thousands, becoming the ultimate sports car of its day.
