Description
1976 Puma GTB Very rare PUMA GTB Series 1. PUMA is best known in Europe for its VW-based GT 1600s. But few people know that during the same period, between 1974 and 1978, Puma marketed another very different model in Brazil, based on a Chevrolet Opala engine. The recipe remained the same, however: chassis/ running gear/ engine from a major manufacturer (Chevrolet) and a polyester body. A typical American Muscle Car look from the 70s. The engine is a Chevrolet 4. 1-litre in-line 6-cylinder (250S - 171 bhp SAE). To our knowledge, this is the only example of a Series 1 in Europe (we know of another example in the UK, but it is a Series 2 after the 1978 restyling). At the time, it was the most expensive vehicle sold in Brazil. It was produced in 708 units. 4 seats, leather interior, air conditioning, sound system. It has just undergone a complete overhaul with rocker arm adjustments, ignition, cleaning and new carburettor, engine oil change, axle, gearbox, etc. It also passed through the hands of the coachbuilder with touch-up and full paintwork! 14" vintage alloy wheels (10" at the rear and 9" at the front). Hankook tyres with 10% wear. The exhaust system with its single stainless steel muffler produces a particularly pleasant sound! The assurance of driving in an atypical and unique vehicle with a simple and robust design! Photo album and videos on request. Come and see it and test drive it in our Show Room in Perpignan. Technical inspection ok. All documents available to obtain a registration document in your name. Possibility of delivery by us at cost price.
