Description
The A 112 was the Italians' inevitable response to the Austin Mini Cooper. In 1965, thanks to their collaboration with Innocenti, the British had managed to build and sell their little car on Fiat territory! Autobianchi, not Fiat, retaliated against the British Motor Corporation by developing a sort of 100% Italian clone, adopting the same architecture and appearance as the British model, which made its appearance in 1969. As self-respecting Italians, Autobianchi's staff immediately designed a sporty variant with the help of the wizard Carlo Abarth.
