The Appeal
The Citroën Type B2 was the second car in the innovative French marque's product range - and therefore only the second car actually mass produced in Europe. Adapting the Type A, the new car was more powerful and refined, offering 10 fiscal horsepower and around twenty body styles.
Among the most interesting models from this pioneering era were commercial vehicles - and among the most common was the baker's van, also known as the Boulangère, which became a fixture on the streets of pre-war Paris and beyond. These vans earned an incredible reputation for endurance and offered a simple alternative to the bakers' carts that still plied the streets of Europe.
This particular example was restored by the current owner in 2007 - involving around 1,150 hours of work. The result is a vehicle that not only starts at the turn of a key, but also looks great, with the upholstery, paintwork and joinery all in good condition.
As part of a very prestigious collection, we're sure this baker's van will attract plenty of attention.
