The Appeal
Of the raft of Birmingham motorcycle manufacturers, New Hudson was one of the first - its first bike arrived in 1902 - and amongst the best regarded. Only a lack of funds prevented these powerful, nimble bikes achieving far greater sales and track success.
The 600 arrived in 1922 with a 594cc version of the firm’s four stroke single. Across its large range new Hudson averaged 2,000 bikes per year between the wars, which makes this 1924 example a rare find.
It is in beautiful condition, as much a rewarding ride as a piece of two-wheeled history. It is reported to be highly original - it retains its lovely New Hudson-branded fittings - and in very good running order.
It has remained with its current keeper since 1999, but now is time for this lovely bike to find a new and equally enthusiastic buyer.
