The Attractions
The Lancia Aurelia was a truly revolutionary car. It was one of the first production cars to use a V6 engine, one of the first to adopt a transaxle gearbox and the first car to offer radial tyres as standard equipment. Designed by the great Vittorio Jano, the Aurelia achieved unforgettable success in major road races, coming second in the 1951 Mille Miglia and taking the top three places at the Targa Florio in 1952.
Here we can admire a beautifully restored 1952 Aurelia Serie II. The seller believes it has had only two or three previous owners and we are told that it is eligible for entry in the prestigious Mille Miglia Storica. Finished to a high standard, it presents itself impeccably. We have also been told that this stunning Lancia is in excellent running condition and is ready to be enjoyed by its next lucky owner.

- Four-speed transaxle manual gearbox with synchronisers
The Aurelia owes much of its racing and rallying success to its power train. Lancia was one of the first car manufacturers to recognise the advantages of a compact and powerful V6 engine, here combined with an excellent transaxle gearbox that distributed the car's weight evenly between front and rear.
