The Appeal
While MG were behind several successful sports cars during the 1920s and '30s, the Abingdon-based firm lagged behind during the early post-war years. That all changed when the MGA arrived in 1955. With streamlined bodywork and an all-new four-cylinder engine that we now know as the 'B Series', the MGA was supremely capable and sold very well.
This 1956 example, with only three former registered keepers since it was first sold in Sweden, has been well-maintained and cherished throughout its life. The recent restoration has enhanced its appearance and the vendor comments that the mechanicals are in excellent healthy in readiness for its next owner. The comprehensive history file, including numerous invoices and books, provides a detailed insight into the car's past, while the inclusion of both a soft top and tonneau cover, both in good condition, is a bonus for motoring in inclement weather.
