Magnificent Aston Martin metallic green on beige leather
Matching numbers for this SE Special Equipment model with 3.4L engine
Very attractive car, presented to a good standard
The Plus
Although the E-Type often steals the show, it could be argued that the older XK150 is a more practical everyday car. And, for many, it looks just as good, if not better.
The XK150 OTS (Open Two Seater) was the latest in a line of sports cars originally designed to shine at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. These later models had more luxury and power. The OTS was the simpler, lighter version, ideal for sporty driving enthusiasts.
This car was built in 1958 and first registered in 1959. It carries the 'S' prefix indicating the special factory equipment - spoked wheels and integral disc brakes - as well as a Moss manual gearbox with overdrive (overdrive not functional). The previous owner restored it in 2022, the work resulting in a beautiful Aston Martin Metallic Green paint job and a beige leather interior that can be seen in the photos.
Since acquiring the car shortly after the restoration, the vendor has invested in a new black mohair soft top and a re-chroming of the front and rear bumpers. We are told that the car runs very well, with good oil pressure.
So this is a very attractive XK150, where all the work has already been done - and recently. A car to use and enjoy.

The last '150' version of the XK offered more power and luxury. The in-line six-cylinder engine is one of the best in British motoring, and in this 3.4-litre version it offers a particularly pleasurable driving experience. Here, it's mated to the Moss 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. Although the seller states that the overdrive is not currently working, it should be a simple fix if the buyer wishes to remedy this.
This car left the factory with the SE full disc brake system. It remains original with the exception of a stainless steel exhaust. We are told that the car runs very well with good oil pressure and a correct engine and gearbox. It is therefore an excellent opportunity for the buyer.
