The Plus
Replacing the beautiful and technically accomplished Aurelia didn't seem like a straightforward task. But it soon became clear that Lancia's engineers had created another exceptional car when they launched the Flaminia in 1957. Offered in a range of exciting body styles and wisely remaining true to the successful V6 transaxle configuration, the Flaminia sold well and impressed customers throughout its thirteen years of production.
Here is a remarkable example of the Pininfarina Coupé that has undergone a thorough restoration. Completely rebuilt from the ground up, including all mechanical elements in 2018, this Lancia is advertised in superb condition and is in very good running order. Presented immaculately, it is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner.

Condition
Beautifully restored Pininfarina bodywork
Paint finish appears uniform and elegant
No noticeable wear, damage or signs of deterioration to the chromes
Original wheels with Lancia hubcaps
Impeccably presented interior
Factory electric windows
No noticeable wear to restored upholstery or carpeting
Original controls still look extremely elegant
Rubber lining still lining the boot to factory specification
We're told the underside remains in good condition
With Pininfarina bodywork, the Flaminia is undeniably handsome, with undeniable refinement; relying instead on flowing lines accented by chrome trim. This example looks extremely straight and solid after its restoration and is enhanced by a remarkable paint finish. The aforementioned trim remains in very good condition, as do the chrome bumpers and wheel covers.
Inside, we note that the upholstery has been carefully redone to the original specification, with no noticeable wear since the work was carried out. We understand that everything works as intended, including the electric windows - a rather opulent feature in 1960!
The Powertrain
2.5-litre V6 petrol engine
Four-speed manual gearbox (bridge gearbox)
Engine rebuilt and new brakes fitted
Suspension and steering overhauled in 2020, shortly after purchase by the vendor (new shock absorbers and steering joints)
With alert V6 performance and exceptional handling, the Flaminia is a pleasure to drive and we're assured this one is no exception. Almost everything has been mechanically rebuilt in recent years, which means that it is in excellent condition and the next owner can be confident of using this car as Lancia intended.
