The Simca Aronde is a bonafide European legend. Up until 1951, the French brand had focused on cars that derived from Fiat’s product range - but the Aronde? The Aronde was different. Whether it just hit the perfect zeitgeist, or it was purely based on its strengths as a no-nonsense, highly characterful car, nearly one and a half million were sold, spreading across Europe and becoming, for many, as iconic as the Fiat 500 or Mini Cooper.
This example, one of the third generation, is a highly original one, with sharply presented bodywork and an unmodified interior. It’s rare we see one of these so reassuringly original - giving a great opportunity to take on a real European legend.
