The Attractions
Alfa Romeo's compact sports cars with four-cylinder engines have become justifiably famous, and it was the 101 Series that started their success story. Before the Second World War, the Biscione company mainly catered to a wealthy clientele, but by the 1950s Italian motorists now included the middle class. Pininfarina was commissioned to design a convertible version, and thus the Alfa Romeo Spider was born.
This Giulia Spider 1600 from 1965 is one of the last ones made before this model was replaced by the 105/115 'Duetto'. Recently returned to Italy from the United States, this Spider has been upgraded to Veloce specification. fitted with EU-spec instrumentation, is registered in Italy and has a valid MOT.
