Factory 4.2L car with fully synchromesh manual box
In process of being road registered in the UK
The Appeal
North American demand for the E-Type made a 2+2 version inevitable. These cars added small rear seats and a higher roofline to address some of the usability and access issues with the compact original. It was a package that worked so well that the 2+2 chassis outlived all other E-Type versions.
Those qualities make the 2+2 popular with modern buyers who want to really use and enjoy their sleek cars. The Series 1 2+2 is particularly appealing because it retains the original, closed-in headlights and small rear light aesthetics of the original car.
Just 2,644 Series 1 2+2 LHD E-Types were built before the upgrades, which were retrospectively and unofficially known as ‘Series 1.5’ cars. Most were fitted with the automatic gearbox, which makes this 1966 USA car very rare.
Finished in Signal Red with a tan leather interior, it appears to have been extensively restored before arriving on these shores. The condition is impressive inside and out, giving the first UK registered keeper a great example of these enduring classics.

Leather front and rear seats in very good order with few signs of use
Remaining interior fittings are well kept with some aging, as shown in photos
