The Attractions
As well as offering an economical means of four-wheel-drive transport for the Italian people, Fiat also brought the 500 into the world of racing, and independent tuning companies such as Abarth proved adept at extracting remarkable performance from Fiat's small engines.
In homage to the racing cars of the time, this 1972 Fiat 500 L has been given a sporty makeover, both under the bonnet and inside the cabin. A 650 cc Fiat 126 engine, modified with an Alfa Romeo carburettor, gives this little car surprising power, while the customised interior contributes to the racing atmosphere. The bodywork, repainted five years ago, is still in excellent condition, and the sports alloy wheels are described as 'new'.
The seller claims that this car is ready to be driven immediately and we are truly envious of the next owner.
