The Appeal

South African Type 2 lovers don’t mess around. To fit their vans for long-distance, continent-crushing trips, they fit Ford’s durable, robust, and easily maintained Essex 3L V6.
That’s very different to European owners, but makes this 3L-equipped Type 2 really stand out. And perfect for ensuring everyone arrives on holiday less frazzled.
Alongside that appealing specification, this van arrives on the market in very good condition. The previous keeper was responsible for its import to the UK, acquiring it back in 2018 in dry, metalwork-friendly South Africa, where it has spent most of its life. It was imported here in August 2022 with all duties correctly paid.
Since arrival it has been thoroughly checked over and £4,000 invested. That included converting the electrics from 9V to 12V and installing a lengthy list of new parts. It was also fully serviced. It's at this point the vendor acquired the van, but a change of circumstances prompts reluctant sale.
Sitting pretty in two-tone blue and white - inside and out - and in great condition, this well specified camper would make getting to your destination and enjoying your holiday equally enjoyable and relaxing.
