Fully restored and repainted to a very good standard
Stored in a garage for the past eight years: part of a collection of around 80 cars
Offered in running condition, ready for recommissioning following a year unused
The Appeal
Although it bore numerous similarities to its WW2-era predecessors, the M151 was a totally different Jeep from all that had come before. Instead of a traditional separate chassis design, the M151 became a monocoque with frame rails built into the floor pan for strength. The benefits were twofold: increasing ground clearance while simultaneously lowering the centre of gravity. The M151 also dispensed with beam axles in favour of independent coil-sprung suspension, drastically improving comfort and body control at higher speeds.
This 1978 Jeep M151A2 'Mutt' was formerly part of a collection of around 80 cars and has been garaged for the past eight years following a full restoration. Although unused for the past year or so, the Jeep is offered in running condition, making it an excellent basis for recommissioning.
