The Attractions
It all started with the Porsche 935 racing car. Soon road car buyers began to demand the same aerodynamic 'Flach Bau' front end as the racing cars, and a very special version of the classic 911 with an air-cooled engine was born.
Only 948 were built, of which only 630 were cars of the following G series, with a modified version of the sloping front end. This car is not one of the factory-built G-series examples, but it is very close to it. It began as an SC Targa model for the German market with a 204 hp engine before being converted to a slant nose in the 1980s and 1990s in the USA, using original M505 factory parts.
At the same time, it was converted into a convertible, again using Porsche components.
Finished in ice white with 'Turbo' lettering, even experts would have difficulty distinguishing it from an original example. It is in very good condition both inside and out, with the black and white colour scheme extending to the classic whale-tail rear wing.
This car has rarely been used in recent years, so could benefit from a service. It comes with a useful CARFAX accident report, and is registered in Germany.
