The Appeal
This handsome 280SL exhibits all the reasons why these cars remain so popular with enthusiasts. Stylish, oozing quality and very comfortable, it is also in great condition.
Built in 1984 its factory-correct Classic White paintwork is an attractive alternative to the more common colours. It retains its matching hard top and is fitted with the desirable factory rear seat conversion. There are barely any signs of its 40 years.
The mileage is very low and supported by a run of 16 service stamps, most recently 1,000 miles ago. It carries a long, advisory-free MOT to April 2025. Legally, this could be its last as it qualifies for Historic Vehicle status from April 2025 meaning it will become MOT, tax and ULEZ exempt. That’s a further reason to buy what appears to be a very good example of an equally appealing model.
