The Attractions
The Tipo Quattro platform has been used by four great saloons: the SAAB 9000, the Fiat Croma, the Alfa Romeo 164 and the Lancia Thema.
Lancia, of course, added its own unmistakable touch to the basic formula, notably sumptuous interiors and brilliant engines. The first series cars adopted an 8-valve version of the legendary 2-litre Lampredi twin-shaft. With the addition of a turbocharger, the Turbo IE version delivered 165 hp, just like the contemporary Delta HF 4WD.
This successful mix of performance and luxury means that, after more than 30 years, the few surviving examples are highly prized and sought after.
This Turbo IE is an extremely original car that has been used regularly but sparingly throughout its life by its sole owner. It has proven to be very reliable and is offered for sale in very good condition. It shows some slight signs of age and use, but is basically a very solid and pleasing example of these practical saloons.
This is a car that can be driven immediately as is or improved further as you use it.
