The Appeal
If you’re after the ultimate version of Jaguar’s long-running XJ40-based saloons, then here you have it: the Daimler Super V8 LWB. For aficionados of these classically-styled cars it is the best of both worlds: sumptuous, limousine-like luxury and supercar-bating, 400bhp supercharged performance.
This 1998 example is one of only 2,387 built and finished in attractive burgundy metallic with a beige leather interior. It presents well inside and out, an impression supported by a thick history file that contains full service history.
The vendor is only selling due to high VRT rates in Ireland. He planned to keep it so has recently invested in new catalysers, replaced exhaust components, new ABS and brake pumps and a brake system flush and refresh. All that work is good news for the buyer, as is the long MOT to April 2025 with no structural advisories.
